Moving an office is a lot like trying to fit a sofa through a doorway that’s just an inch too narrow—you think it’ll work, but halfway through, you realize you’ve made a huge mistake. That’s exactly how our big office move went down. But don’t worry, we made it to the other side, bruised but victorious, and we’re loving our new and improved space!
The Grand Plan (That Fell Apart Instantly)
We had a vision. A streamlined, well-organized moving process where everything was labeled, categorized, and transferred with military precision. But then reality showed up. Boxes were mysteriously mislabeled (who put coffee mugs in a box marked “printer cables”?!), the phone system decided it wanted to retire early, and somehow, we ended up moving the same filing cabinet three times before realizing it didn’t even belong to us.
The Desk Dilemma
If you’ve never tried to move a desk, let me paint a picture for you: it’s heavy, it’s awkward, and it has a mind of its own. Desks have a special ability to get stuck in doorways, wedge into walls, and lose screws at precisely the worst possible moment. We now have a newfound respect for professional movers. If you see one, give them a hug—they’ve been through things.
The Mystery of the Missing Box
Every move has one. That one box that disappears into another dimension. We packed it. We carried it. And yet, it has vanished into thin air. If you happen to see a rogue box full of office supplies wandering the streets, please send it our way.
