A little bit about me...
Virginia “Ginny” Streeter is a licensed real estate agent with Virginia 1st Realty Group, LLC based in Smithfield, Virginia. She is a “native” Virginian, born in Richmond, but grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in Los Altos, CA. She is a graduate of Los Altos High School, Foothill Community College (AA) and University of California, Los Angeles (BA in History). She was commissioned as an ensign in the US Navy after attending Officer Candidate School in Newport, RI. She served at Mayport Naval Station, FL; Washington, DC; and San Diego, CA. She married Captain Matt Streeter (USN – Ret) in 1983, supporting his 35 year naval career while raising their son, Zachary, volunteering and teaching for four years as a Third Grade teacher. Throughout this time, the numerous moves required in her husband’s naval career gave Ginny the experience in real estate that has been invaluable to her clients in the Hampton roads area. Upon retirement, the Streeters settled in the lovely, historic town of Smithfield, enjoying all it has to offer from small town events like the Christmas Parade to specialty shops in downtown and a selection of wonderful eateries. The slower, more relaxed pace is a nice contrast to the frenzy of DC and San Diego. Wanting to help others discover the joys of Smithfield has been a primary motive for her becoming a real estate agent. Ginny has been helping others with their real estate needs for over 6 years now, spanning the market from modest, first-time home buying to negotiating multi- million dollar properties.
